Project Description: Zhejiang University of Technology is a comprehensive provincial key university in Zhejiang Province. It was founded in 1953. Its predecessor can be traced back to the Zhejiang Secondary Industrial School established in 1910. It has gone through several development stages including Hangzhou Chemical School, Zhejiang Chemical College, Zhejiang Institute of Chemical Technology, Zhejiang Institute of Technology and Zhejiang University of Technology. It has changed its location several times and experienced several divisions and mergers. Zhejiang Economic Management Cadre College, Hangzhou Shipbuilding Industry School and Zhejiang Building Materials Industry School were respectively merged into Zhejiang University of Technology in 1994, 1999 and 2001. After several generations of hard work and unremitting efforts by the faculty and students of the university, the school has now developed into a comprehensive teaching and research university with certain influence in China, and its overall strength has remained among the top 100 universities in the country. On June 8, 2009, the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Education signed a co-construction agreement, and Zhejiang University of Technology was included in the list of provincial and ministerial co-construction universities. In May 2013, the Yangtze River Delta Green Pharmaceutical Collaborative Innovation Center, led by the school, was selected into the national "2011 Plan", becoming one of the first 14 2011 Collaborative Innovation Centers in the country. In April 2015, Zhejiang University of Technology was selected as one of the first batch of "Provincial Key Construction Universities" in Zhejiang Province.

The school is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, a famous historical and cultural city and a world-renowned scenic spot. The school has four campuses: Zhaohui, Pingfeng, Moganshan and Zhijiang, covering an area of 3,550 mu. The campus environment is elegant and it is an ideal place for study and research. The university currently offers 67 undergraduate programs, covering 11 major categories including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and art. It has 26 secondary colleges and 1 department, and also runs an independent college, ---- zhijiang College. The university currently has 9 postdoctoral research stations. There are 9 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points and 1 second-level discipline doctoral degree point not covered by a first-level discipline. There are 29 first-level discipline master's degree authorization points, and 5 second-level discipline master's degree points not covered by first-level disciplines. Master of Business Administration, Master of Electronic Information, Master of Mechanical Engineering, Master of Materials and Chemical Engineering, Master of Resources and Environment, Master of Energy and Power Engineering, Master of Civil Engineering and Water Conservancy, Master of Biology and Medicine, Master of Engineering Management, Master of Agriculture, Master of Pharmacy, Master of Education, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Journalism and Communication, Master of Public Administration, Master of Laws, Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, and Master of Applied Psychology The authority to confer 19 types of professional degrees, including bachelor's degree and Master of Accounting. It has the right to recommend master's degree candidates without taking the entrance examination (including direct admission to doctoral programs) and the right to recruit foreign students, students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The total value of the school's current fixed assets is 4.421 billion yuan. The library covers an area of over 70,000 square meters, with a collection of over 11.61 million volumes (including e-books) and 138,216 kinds of domestic and foreign periodicals.
